Cherry Barbs Behaviour

Hi, I have 6 cherry barbs(2 male and 4 female). Recently the one of the male barbs has been chasing the other barbs especially the male all around the tank. Hes also been chasing the females too. He hides in the cave thing i have in the tank and then when the male comes beside him he chases him away. The other male keeps coming back and gets chased away again.
Is this normal behaviour as I thought cherrys were quite timid.
I have a 70 litre tank with 2 ottos and 5 small tetras.
