Okay my local shop has advertised these on their flyers, anyone got any pics of them I can't find any and I'd like to see what they look like LOL. I never knew they can make Balloon Platies, what are they breeding with?

Ummm.....? I've never heard of such a thing. Would you please go and investigate for us? I'm curious now.

They Could be Dwarf Platties, as they do look Balloon like.

hmmm okay i will check them out soon.

i went to have a look and it is a platy with a large upper top very odd. they also had Coral Balloon Platies. They are very dark red colour and the eyes are also red. The closest thing i can find online is the image below. Yes i know the images below are pregnant fish but you get the idea. The upper part is more bent like a balloon mollie. They also appear to be smaller than a balloon mollie.

Just Dwarves then

dunno, i read at a website it is a birth defect, basically like the mollies they eventually start to deform with the spine crushing in while the other organs try to grow with no room to expand, that is why they die easy. So i guess they found a way to do it with platies.. poor things.
