I'd like to say a sincere thanks to Smurfy for kindly helping me out. I tried loads of aquatic shops to see if they would donate some media and constantly got offered the sale (nice of them) of some sort of chemical to start my cycle off as i got caught short "had to add fish earlier than planned" .

What you guys have set up here is great and once my aquarium is cycled and established i'll be only to willling to return the favour to others in my situation.
