Hi

Just want to check my stock.

Tank 24 x 12 x 12 57l/15g
APS external filter 150lph
internal filter 600lph

50% weekly w/c

2 Dwarf Gourami M + F
25 Danio Erythromicron
1 Assassin Snail
1 Golden Spotted long fin bristlenose

Could I add some pygmy/dwarf Cories at a later date? If so how many would you suggest

Thanks

Hmm, i would not add anything else to that 15 gal tank.

Think you're fully stocked as it already. Maybe even a little overstocked :/

So i'd say no to adding anything else to that tank really.

I was thinking that myself.

I was thinking of swapping the Dwarf Gourami for a pair of Sparkling Gourami to lesson the bio load.

What do you think?

Hmm, tricky one to call exactly, sparking are smaller than DG's, by about half size.

But think still pretty much fully stocked even with Sparkling Gouramis and therefore you still cant put in a group of 6+ cories

Sorry :/

I concur, and would suggest re-homing the dwarf gourami.  I have kept Danio erythromicron in a 20g (which has same footprint presumably as your 15g) and assuming plants and regular water changes this should be no problem for you.

Part of my thinking about the dwarf gourami is that they are to me quite "large" in comparison, and smallish tanks with "large" fish plus small fish always seem to be not quite right, if you get what I'm saying.  Filling a small tank with small fish creates more visual space.

Byron.

Would love to see a picture of 25 celestials if you have time.

Do you mean you would add the Sparkling Gourami and cories? and rehome the DG?

D.eryromicron are an amazing little fish with such bright colours, i love watching the males spar, I feel the DG are taking away from their glory.

I will try and get a pic for you

Sorry for the confusion; I was concurring with what Ch4rlie said about the stocking.  I would re-home the DG and stay with the rasbora alone.  Byron.
