Is it important to check ammonia, nitrate and nitrite? I Have just checked Ph, and added water conditioner to the tank. Some1 told me that is enough and ammonia can be checked later on. Wat do u guyz think?

have you just set the tank up? have you added any fish yet?

yes i just set it up. I ve put plants into the tank but have not added the fishes yet

OK, your best bet is to do an fishless cycle on the tank to prepare it for fish

there's a really detailed topic here about it, have a good read through.

the basic purpose of this is to build up enough good bacteria on the filter media to keep the water clean adn healthy for the fish. it's best to do this before you add any fish. during the process you will need to check for amonia, nitrite and nitrate but when you read the article all will become clear. :)
