It doesn't sound that overstocked to me at all, not perfect stocking, but not utterly impossible either.
You are aware that in the first link (I haven't checked the second one yet) he actually lists 3 tanks right, not just 1?

Which means:
55G - Oscar, Convict, Red Tail shark, Keyhole Cichlid, Pleco, Striped Rafael.
African Tank: Various African Cichlids, Rubber lipped pleco, bristle nose pleco
Wife's Tank: Blue Gourami, 2 other generic fish, and a rubber lipped pleco

I don't know anything about Oscar's, but I hope that tank is wider than it is long and tall, cos he looks too big for it.

But then again, as I said, I know nothing about Oscars except that they get big.

Website has a good idea though, with the rate my tank thingie. Think I'll have a gander and see what else they have!
