What do you guys think about this co2 system? Is it a good price for what you are getting? I have never had a co2 system before so what else (if anything) besides the co2 bottle will i need for this sytem to get up and running on my 29 gallon tank? And what excatly does a ph controller do? Id really like one to prevent pH crashes but do you honestly think they are worth the money?

wont cost me anything as i already have some which for used for paintballing, but normally (at least from where i buy) co2 tanks cost about $1 per oz.

oh yeah that reminds me, how big of a tank will i need?

I was lucky, I bought a 25lb bottle for £20!! that will last for years, use what ever botle you have. A 2lb bottle should last a while if you have one.
Are you sure the regulator will fit the bottles?

I'd also be interested in what everyone's opinion would be on using paintball CO2 bottles to supply the aquarium and which CO2 system are best to used in conjunction with them. I'm sure the original poster would appreciate the answers too.

I think the paintball canisters have much smaller threads so you will probably need to have/source and adaptor for these but other than that co2 is co2 no matter where it comes from.
