Well here it goes, my very first Tank, comments or suggestions are welcomed by this beginner at the hobby.

Right now I have a few neon tetras, tiger barbs and platy, dunno what else to compliment with, any suggestions?

you could get some fish that inhabit the bottom of the water column like loaches cats or corys

I actually have 2 albino cory and a red-tail shark, forgot to mention those.

I got the Buddha at Petco, dunno if they're around in the UK though

get some kuhli loaches for the bottom, they will look great against the black substrate!
loving the tank, very calming

Not necessarily. Keep the Barbs in numbers of 6 and above and they shouldn't bother any other fish. The large group means they "argue" with one another rather than other fish.

exactly, I have a school of 7 and they school with the ruby barbs also, they leave all other fish alone.

I love the tank as well, but your not alone, I'm not a fan of the statue either. but other then that i love that tank, its perfectly decorated
