hey guys. after much searching I finally found a local breeder who stocked Platinum Angelfish...and got myself a female just like I wanted!

what do you think? i'm already in love...can't wait to see her 6 months down the line

unfortunately there is no secret. i've had "good hunches" in the past, but i've also had bad ones. my beautiful black female angel I bought her on the hunch that it was a he!
anyways, i'm saying this platinum angel is female because the breeder who sold her to me told me when i pointed her out, that she had laid eggs previously.
that's one of the few ways to know i guess

I just bought a female (hopefully, althought it matters not) platinum today from maidenhead aquatics to go with my other angel.

Not bad. She( or he?!) appears to be a little big bodied, but it may be because she is stressed and her fins arent out all the way.
