i picked it up today, took me just over an hour to get there, but definately well worth it!

i have set it up with sand substrate, live plants and a few pebbles, and a moss ball!

i filled it up with existing water from my main tank, i have 9 platy babies and my siamese fighter in there, and a bronze cory which i got today, i put in half a terracota pot as a cave for him, they all look so happy!
i cant believe what a bargain i got,im so chuffed!!! :hyper: :good:  :D

That is a bargain indeed! How many L is it? Well done! Looks like a really nice tank and a good space saver.

For everyone who wanted to see:

looks nice but just curious u say u filled with existing water from ur old tank but did u add any media aswell?

Is it a bargain? £40 for what looks to be about 35L (thats a guess, looking at it relative to the stuff in the background) seems not great, considering you need to spend minimum £30 more for a filter and heater.

But you're happy with it which is the main thing - its not my sort of tank, I like ones with sharp edges that catch out unwary children.

i had 2 other tanks running.. my main one, which i took the water from, and a smaller one which the babies and fighter were in, i took the pump from there

so water came from main tank, pump came from other running tank-if that makes sense??

its a 28L, i priced it up in my LFS and it worked out about £80 for the tank and stand.
i was given loads of other bits aswell, including a water test kit, glass magnet cleaner, loads of water treatments, fake plants/ornament and a gravel cleaner

it came with the cupboard/stand thing as well, and i already had a matured filter and a heater :)

What are you using for filtration? Or by pump are you referring to a filter? If so, I apologise - when I read 'pump' I assume you mean air pump/bubbler.

Edit: you've editted your post which answers my question.

Not bad at all with a stand, my LFS has small 35L tanks with heater, lighting, gravel, pump, everything (incl fake plants etc), for £35, pretty good bargain for newcomers.
