I have a stick on thermometer that you apply to the side of the glass on the outside. It's like a sticker. Im sure you've all seen them..

This damn thing gives me room temp, not tank temp. Is it safe to put IN the water? Anyone know?

Oo; Even in my, very expensive place, an internal thermometer is less than $3.

Since it's made for being outside the aquarium, I'd say it shouldn't go/wouldn't work inside. But you never know, I guess.

I plan on buying a new thermo next week. I bought a bunch of new fish this weekend and now im broke. Being 17, 3 bucks can be a chore

D'oh! I was hoping someone here woulda tried sticking one inside.. it would stick if i emptied enough water, then refilled.. i just dont want it leaking or something.

i have a cheapass window thermometer with suction cups on it.. that should be able to go in right? it's glass and plastic, no metals. i dont see how its any diff than a fish store one. im not this cheap, if i have to ill go buy a new one. rofl. it's just.. this is easier.
