Cheap Fish

Well, the general idea of a wholesaler is that they do not supply to the public direct... Also, you normally need to buy large quatities.

Why not just use the regular fish stores?
 
Why not find a nice small independant fish store. they arenormally half the price of the reg chain stores and they normally quarantine fish when they get them in and wont sell a bad fish.. well mines like this. hes excellent, his fish are so cheap and if they dont look right he wont let me take one..
plus the smaller the shop the better reputation they need :)
 
agreed I have an aquatics store near me and they have quality fish and know what is what, not like chain stores that would sell you anything wether it's compatible or not

which 1 do you use, i'm in cheadle & just wondered if its 1 i know & if its not i wana know where it is lol
 
If you want really cheap fish, look around ebay and talk to breeders (they usualy have loads of fish to get rid of), also fish are generaly cheaper when they are young.

Its on Edgeley Precinct, Oldhams, I know been going there for years and my parents before that.. it doesnt look like much but thats why hes cheap.. I love that shop to bits. Which do you go to?
 
oh yeah i know that 1. used to go there a lot for different pet things when i lived up there.
i go to a place called manchester aquatics or wing & fins. altho i've started going to waterworld in altrincham (sp). its expensive there but they have a lot of different fish.
edgeley was my stomping ground for many years lol

I have posted a comment on machester aquatics on another thread. nice fish alot of variety and not that expensive but the amount of fish that they have in those tiny tanks saddens me.. they dont sell that many fish either as they are getting more and more salt water. I feel sorry for the fish and if I could have more tanks I would rescue them all. all he cares about is his marine more than tropical. i want that tank in there for £1.199. :)
 
yeah thats 1 of the reasons i stopped going as much, also we had a debate on wether or not i could do a fishless cycle with ammonia.
yeah he is goin more for saltwater, he was extending again last time i went in & he is more interested in talking to customers with saltwater tanks as well, not interested in the freshwater people now.
which tank is it, the 1 in the fish room??? i would love to have that tank just not got the room for it now cos already got 6 tanks in my lounge :*) lol

Adam said the same thing when we went. he doesnt speak to tropical buyers and keeps you waiting for ages but as soon as salt water people come in hers all over them like a leech. I remember when it was a little shop on the corner of bird hall lane near me. such a friendly place... the tank is in the fish room, it says on it told to Nick. H. its 6ft7inches long. 2ft wide and 3ft3inches tall. and you get everything with it.. I wish Ihad the cash... I hate being skint.. all my money goes on my daughter and my tank upgrade... arrgh I wanna see your lounge
 
yeah my hubby doens't like me going there now cos of how he is, you more than welcome to come round if you want :D

Adam doesnt like me going there either.. WOW I would love to come and see. I do have my daughter though but id love to plan it for next week sometime :)
