chasing balloon mollie

i got a pair of balloon mollies at my lps and the female is pregnant ( i dont know how much but her spot is huge) the male keeps chasing her and "sniffing" her spot i have a breeder net and i was wondering if i should put him in it or if i should put her in because it could be weeks i dunno help! these will be my first fry

I have balloon mollies and they do the same thing I think it is harmless. IMO the males are not all that bright, they just know when to quit. I think you would get a better response if you posted in the Livebearers forum.
