sp o have a 90 gallon tank and after a bit of flipping around all it has in it is a bgk a peacock eel and some African butterfly fish and i would love some middle movement i have had my eyes on discus sense my dad had one when i was growing up and if i remember it correctly her had it for 4-5 years before a tree branch out side the front window can throw the window in a storm and tore up the liveing room ( and unfortunately it happened to also turn the 150 gallon tank into a fine water glass gravel so im thinking of finding a local breeder and getting a pair to a quartet ( i would rather have 2 but i hear there social and dont want to over stock at the same time so 2-4 ) my tnak is a 90 gallon with sand substrate its over filtered but there isnt a ton of current water peramiters are 0,0,10 so can a discus go in this tank?

As far as Im aware there are no problem with the BGK or the eel. (someone correct me if Im wrong) In which case you could go with discus. Each discus required 10g, so maybe add 5/6. You will need to do regular water changes especially when they are young.

Here is a link from the species index which will give you all their water requirements etc: http://www.fishforums.net/content/Cichlids...n/42070/Discus/

yeah i have gathered as much, im doing my home work on this and im beliveing more then on change a week would be good for this fish. but i dont think i could do 5-6 i would love that but i dont have it in my budget ( im going to put them all in at once so they will all get settled at once and there wont be any trouble)
