ive gotton into the habbit of changin 10 percent of the water in my tank everyday.... is this bennifitting the tank or doing somthing bad?
plus, if i do water changes all the time, is it ok to have a slightly over stalked tank? thankyou for da help

Daily water changes are ok, 10% is fine for most fish. Discus breeders do huge daily water changes, I change 50% daily the first 2 weeks for angel fry.

As far as overstocking is concerned, it depends on the type & quantity of fish, tank size & demensions, as well as filtration. Water change amount and frequency are a part of this, but only one part.

Small daily water changes tend to be alot more beneficial to small tanks as small tanks are more prone to having fluctuating water stats and small regular water changes help avoid too many nastys building up in your tank :) .

Ive also been giving both my tanks a small water change each or every other day, i dont get fed up at all, its for there benefit !! Im sure the appreciate it lol  Not swimming in wee and poo for weeks ;)

C x :*

Damn, I used to do that and do if there's problems (fingers crossed none of that happens again) but I find twice a week in the younger tanks and once in the mature tanks is just fine. Lol you might change your mind if you start to suffer from mts at any time tho. I'd hate to do all mine every day.
Hugs,
P.
