Changing Medications Part Way Through Treating Ich

Hi all -- gotta case of Ich and I have been treating with Kordon Ich Attack for about 4 days with no change / possibly worse off. It is the herbal variety as I thought it would be easier on my Corys.

Now that it isn't working I am getting some Rid Ich + (malachite green + formalin) and im going to half dose it. My question is, should I run some filter carbon for a day or something first to remove the herbal stuff, or maybe just do a 30% water change and then half dose the new stuff?

When i last switched meds i ran some carbon through the filter for 48hrs but as your last med was herbal you may get away with just a water change.
