Changing From Silk Plants To Real Plants

hi i was wondering how easy it is to change from silk plants to realy plants, i love the look of real plants and i only have silk plants at the moment but i was wondering how easy they are to change i don't want to put my hand in the tank and grab them as surely this could contaminate the waters and stress the fish out and im not sure which ones to get and how easy they are to look after. i have 4 bottom feeders in this tank aswell will this disturb the tank to much for them ? any help would be appricated

I stick my hand in my water all the time actually...Just rinse your hands beforehand if you're worried. You could also change over a small section of your tank at a time if you're worried about stressing the fish out. I just changed up a few things and did it at a water change so the water level was already lower...I just moved somethings around...took out a few plants and put it some others... My fish seem to be sucking on all the moved rocks at the moment...must have been some yummy algae stuck to the bottom
