My Hujukon sponge filter needs changing I believe. It doesn't matter how many times I will clean it, there always will be some particles of dirt swimming around the tank without the filter sucking the up.
Unfortunately I cannot find sponges for current filter so I will be getting a new one and I will need opinion from you guys and I will need to know how to seed the new filter?
Would this one be good?:

If you have live plants, there is no need to fuss over seeding the filter. If no live plants, probably still not too much danger if the tank is established (several months) as there are more bacteria in the substrate. If you want to seed the new filter, put it in another tank or this tank with the old filter still running.

Might find more in this thread I just spotted,

Just be aware that a sponge filter won't clear all the floating bits so replacing the sponge won't actually help. In all likelyhood a new filter won't either if its you betta tank which needs a low flow. They won't do any harm as long as you keep the substrate clean and keep up with regular water changes.

That makes a lot of sense too. Thank you ^_^
