Hey all

I recently replaced the bulbs on my nano, but instead of two arcadia freshwater tubes, I've now got 1 freshwater and one hagen powerglo. The problem is that I used to get a lot of pearling with the old tubes, but since changing them I haven't seen any? Could it just be while the plants adapt to the new light mix? I hope I've not messed it up!

Thanks

Sam

Plants take time to adjust to new spectrums so do not panic.

How do you find the Power-Glo out of interest? They're a good intensity I hear? Much blue output?

Cool thoughts that all it would be, cheers George. Re the powerglo, TBH its much the same as the freshwater to my eyes, perhaps a purple tinge to it, but I haven't noticed any colouring of the water/plants/fish because of that. Although the freshwater will prob help to even that out, two powergols together might be a might purple/blue. Time will tell on how well the plants do under it. From the spectrum chart on the box it looks to have a decent spectrum, much the same at the freshwater.
