Hi, I have 75 gallon low light planted tank. I have compact florescence light setup with two bulbs 65w each. It's been almost two years from when i got it and i think i'm over due for a bulb change.Right now the bulbs are 6500k temp.I read the pinned lighting thread but I'm not sure if it answered my question.I have a freind who runs the 50/50 (10000k&antic blue) and I prefer the colors it brings out to my 6500k.Are 50/50 bulbs any good for my planted tank? Will they do as well as my 6500k as far as getting what the plants need? Just a bit confused,if anyone has any experience or advice to help me clear this up I'd be very thankful. The bulbs are $45 each so i don't really just wanna wing-it and end up haveing to change my bulbs again before they are worn out.
