Hi,
For a few weeks now have put of changing a wonky cabinet that my jewul 125 has been sitting on ... Yesterday as son had a day of work decided to go ahead and do it...Drained about 40 litres of tank water into a storage container and put a air stone and heater in there.. Rest of the water was dumped...Removed fish and put them in there....Now the tank was empty .. removed the gravel and lifted tank to the floor..stuffed the jewul filter sponges into the tetratec1200 and cut out the internal jewul filter.. Gave tank a good clean and put on correct cabinet...Added 3cm of JBL Aqua plus and 3 cm of washed fine black gravel ...filled to three quarters with declorinated , water approx right temp started filter and heater etc.. Put fish back and filled up with the water they were in.. all well so far.. Now heres why i changed the wonky stand...Son and i intended to put old base in shed .. while doing this it fell to bits completely...Gawd, were we lucky it did not fall pieces earlier.. Last night checked readings all at zero this morning did same still double zeros... Hopefully no mini cycle...Have now ordered a co2 regulater and solenoid..fe.. and the other odds and ends required ready to go planted ...Only reason i posted this was so worried that things would have gone pear shaped. (Removing internal filter, bust the glass.. fish die in container, bacteia die etc etc ) so am right chuffed lol Regards Zac
