well as you know that i will be stripping my 25 uk gal tank down to redesign and to use a sandy substrate, currently at the moment i am treating ICH in this tank and the last day of treatment is today ( hopefully it should be gone) The fish that i have in this tank will be going to my tank downstairs (made room as i have given some stock to college) while i start strip down, however because of ICH i dunno when to start transferring fish to another tank.....I wanted to start strip down on the weekend of 24th Feb as house is empty and i can do it slowly without parents sticking there noses in.

So i wanted to know when should i start transferring fish over..... without bring ICH with me..... (as i wanted to start this weekend) moving half this week and next half following week.

Am i doing the right thing??

Yes it does make sense to me!
It sounds fine, but you should make sure that the ich has gone first. It should be, as you said you have been treating it, so hopefully the treatment is effective enough.
One thing though, you said the weekend of 24th Feb - but the 24th Feb is a Thursday!? Huh? Or did you mean the weekend after the 24th?

its virtually imposible to kill the ch on the fish without killing the fish 10 times,if you dont put them in a medicated QT tank for a few weeks they will bring it with them, on the plus sideif you cycle the new tank first all the clean water should help the fish rid themselves of ich

Sorry i meant from the 24th Thursday [day my parents go away] this day i will be washing the sand so it's ready to lay when tank is empty.... but first i need to get some Aquabasis Plus to go under for the live plants suggest by A.I.M thx paul!!! as i haven't ordered it yet..... I have a week to get tank sorted so that my parents will be surprised when they get back [hopefully]
