Hi

Has anyone heard of this? Is it Brackish? They are in My LFS an just wondered if they can go with a Figure 8?

Thanks

Chang Mai is a province in Thailand if thats any use. Id get the real name for the fish from the shop (scientific name) then try again if you cant find anything.

If you post a photo maybe someone can identify the goby type

Im wondering if its one of these

Rhinogobius giurinus (Paradise Goby , Multicoloured Goby)

????

Hi

As far as i can remember they did look like Rhinogobius giurinus (just searched on google).

Are these Brackish? Do they go with F8's?

Thanks

Do all gobies look like this in shape?

Most Gobies have a similar shape, this type are found in both fresh and brackish water i believe, they also get to about 3-4 inches in size.

I have never kept them but i don't see there being a problem keeping them with F8's

Maybe someone else can advise further.

The goby you saw might be Rhinogobius chiengmaiensis. The adults live in freshwater, but the young need saltwater to develop. That's about as much as I know.
