Chancing With Tigers!

greetings all!

Well, a friend of mine has decided that she doesnt want her fish tank anymore, so i offered to take it rather than her giving the fish to an LFS, god knows what they will do with it!
The thing is that i know her tank is over stocked, she has neons, mollies, danios, guppies and a common pleco. I have space in both my tanks, but one of my tanks has discus and i dont think any of these fish will survive in discus high temperatures (30 c), my other tank has 12 tiger bars, do you think the neons and the danios have a chance with the barbs?

from what ive read on here tiger barb agression is usually more limited in larger groups as they focus on each other... tetras and danios are also speedy little things so they could get away from a chase maybe you can just try them but monitor them closely?

I've kept danios and neons with tiger barbs before. As long as the tigers are in a big enough shoal (which yours are) you shouldn't have problems.

I have tiger barbs with neon rainbowfish (praecox) and also bristlenoses, and yo yo loaches with no problems at all. I've read many places that danios tend to be OK with tiger barbs, and that shoals of over 6 tiger barbs are normally aggressive towards each other rather than the other community fish in the tank.
