I have a diy co2 setup and was thinking of increasing its effectiveness with a ceramic diffuser. Are they diy compatible - that is to say, do they require a certain amount of pressure begind them to work?

Ive read that this one will work with DIY, the only thing I would add is a bubble counter, not for bubble counting purposes, but when I had DIY CO2 all the white fluffy stuff grew in the bubble counter and not in the tank, and being a ceramic diffuser it might get clogged and not work as well if the white stuff grew on it. Just an idea :)
