Hi all. I have a 125 litre planted tank, current parameters are Ph 7.0-7.2, gH 10, nitrates 20ppm, 0 ammonia and nitrites. No other parameters known. I currently have 3 Sunset Platties, 8 Silver Tip Tetras, 2 Sterbai Cory's and 1 Otto. (The tetras may end up going). (2 more Sterbai and a couple of Amano Shrimp to come shortly.)
What i want now is a "oooo, look at that one" fish, you know, the fish that everyone will look at above all others. Something larger than the others that will grab attention, but will get along with the rest and will be happy to be on it's own, rather than in a pair or a shoal. A decent sized Angelfish springs to mind. Anyone with any different ideas?
Also any comments/ideas about the current setup/fish would be welcome, as i have recently re-kindled my enthusiasm for fishkeeping after a 28 year gap. A lot has changed since 1978.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

What about one of the bigger gourami like a pearl or gold.Theres a good pinned article in the gourami section giving size and tankmates
If I was you I would definitely add a couple more sterbai and a few more otto as they apparently prefer to be in groups
With 8 silvertips you have enough to avoid fin nipping problems.
Are your platys all female? If so thats fine.If not then its preferable to have 3 females to each male.
Im sorry if Im telling you stuff you already know.

Thanks for the suggestion. I like the look of the Pearl over the Gold, much prettier IMO. I did forget to add that i am getting 2 more Otto's in my earlier post. Yep, platties are all female. Can't be bothered with breeding at the moment.
As for the tetras, i posted about these pesky blighters elsewhere in the forum. I originally had 10, had to remove 2 after they had been totally battered by the 2 most dominant of the shoal. The rest usually hide all over the tank until feeding time, then get chased back to their 'cowering places'. Was informed this is normal and after a couple of weeks when the 'King of the Castle' was crowned, they would steadily come out and be friends again. No such luck i'm afraid, it's now been about a month since they were introduced, so like i said earlier, they may have to go back to LFS for a trade in. No use buying a group if there going to be individuals, know what i mean?
Anyway, thanks again for the suggestion. Would like some more possibles to think over. Anyone else?
