Central Nj Lfh/ Mail Order

I was just wondering if anyone knows of or purchases from any LFS's in the central NJ area(Middlesex Cty)? There are a couple around me, curious if I missed any. Also, have any of you ever ordered from any web stores? Thank You

im in edison....not much around here though....are you looking for mostly marine or fresh? I will use animalsnthings, thats at the intersection of 1 and 35. Theres one i havent been to in forever on 22 in watchung/n brunswick, cant for the life of me remember the name though. In all honesty, I buy off of liveaquaria. they have a good stock, and they have FANTASTIC customer service. I had a shipment get delayed in the mail for 3 days, for my trouble they gave me a credit of the purchase price of my order. Over $100..so I use them out of loyalty. ....

PM me if you have a good one in mind other then those two i named....like i said, their not the best, but better then petco lol....

I'm looking for freshwater species. Funny thing is I was in Animals n things last night to buy a GH/KH test kit, but I was in a hurry so I didn't get a chance to check out the fish setups. How is their supply, generally healthy? Are they helpful? I think the one you might be talking about is the Pet Shanty. Since I posted I did a little research and found another place in Clifton called Absolutely Fish, and there's another place in Ocean twp. but I can't remember the name. I bought some of my equipment from Ocean Gallery II and the man who helped me(the owner) was very friendly.

yeah pet shanty sounds about right lol.....animalsnthings are pretty good about not selling any fish that look off. If they think there is a problem they put a red sign on the tank and discontect the tank from the system...and they will tell you what is wrong with each tank if you ask. I go there every few days for wee wee pads for the puppies, and one time the gal in the fish dept ran over and told me that the cories that came from the shipment that i bought from the day before had come down with ick and wanted to be sure i knew.....

And I like there plants selection...if you get there the day they put them up for sale they have a great selection. The ppl either know what they are talking about, or can find you someone who does.

Ill have to go up to clifton to check it out lol...but its a bit far for my liking lol

I may check out the Pet Shanty tonight to see what I looks like. I also read about the place in Ocean, called Tropiquarium. Seems nice, but the general consensus is that it is little pricey.
