My tank currently has 6 serpae tetras, a male guppy (surprisingly the tetras don't bother him...anymore), 2 female mollies, a SAE, 2 otos, and a survivor rummynose tetra. I will up the school of rummies to about 6, and probably the otos to about 4-5. So my question is what would be the best centerpiece fish?

I would like to stay away from blue rams as I've had them many times and apistos, because I would like something a little larger (plus I've never seen them sold anywhere near me). I am aware of bolivian rams, and am thinking about it. Dwarf gouramis I've had in there, and they all died (from that dreaded DGD) and pearl gouramis I've had as well and they are a bit too timid for me (plus I already have a lot of red in the tank.) My aunt, whom this tank is mostly dedicated to, does not like angels or blue/gold gouramis. SO, I know I eliminated everybody's go-to centerpiece fish, but if there's anything else please let me know!! :)

Wow, you did take most of the obvious center pieces off the table, but how about a chocolate gourami or flag fish (can be semi aggressive) or maybe a keyhole cichlid.

Thank you for your suggestions! I think I really like the flagfish but I don't know how my aunt will feel about them. Fingers crossed!
