I've got them now, first time I've kept them. Very pretty, very active...makes me wonder how you got that shot-mine never stay still long enough!

This has to be the understatement of the year. I actually wish mine would knock it off, there's always eggs everywhere. Old habits won't let me leave them be but I'm getting less credit at the LFS on trades-I think I've saturated the market around here. At least the owner doesn't groan when I walk in. Yet.

Nice little fish 🥰 I keep a group of them in a densely planted 200 l aquarium. They have been reproducing for over 15 years with little or no intervention. There are almost always a few juveniles alongside the adults. I recommend keeping them in larger numbers, at least around 15. Otherwise, they tend to be somewhat shy.
No heater, temperatures from 17° to 25° C / 62.6 F to 77 F. They benefit from the natural temperature fluctuations between day and night and throughout the year.

Out of ten local fish stores only three will give credit and one will give cash I also have a number of fish auctions throughout the year, when it comes to store credit some local lfs push their luck , over here CPD still holds its price,

Out of the 6 semi local lfs, none offer credit or cash for fish . It seems not to be a thing in the UK. I ended up giving 29 ricefish to a store that hadn't stocked them in over half a year to return a couple weeks later and see them listed for £4 each.. I would have been happy with 25p per fish

Do you notice any negative effects from inbreeding? I've had that concern (with a different species) in my tank that have been inbreeding for five years.

tight fisted gits; a port of fish food wouldn't go amiss

there are many myths about inbreeding I have been keeping breeding inbreeding livebearing fish since the 1970s I have kept many species for up to 20 years without adding new blood with no problems i rarely get any problems with my fish
