Celebrating Five Years Of Planted Tanks...

Wow!!!!, what a treat to the eye. Love your cherry barbs.

Beautiful

Thank you. I'm very happy that I stuck with this aspect of the hobby. The first tank was a bit of a chore, had some algae issues in the beginning, but with the help of members here, that got sorted out very fast, and I haven't looked back. :)

I'm so impressed, you should be very happy with yourself.

I wish I could keep tanks in that greater shape. I have too many troubles with algae and filth... my planted tanks just go all dirty :(

I end up with a brown residue over everything!

In my time in the hobby, regardless of the type of setup (high-tech, low-light, no CO2, CO2, fert, no fert), I found that the key ingredients for a setup not to have a lot of algae issues are...

1. Good, agressive maintenance
2. Good flow
3. Know the needs and growth habits of the plants you are keeping
4. Learn to just leave the plants alone

VERY impressive!

Thank you very much. I'm away from home for the month of May, so my current scape will not get any attention. Hopefully, it'll come out ok. Then I'll add it's pictures up here as well.
