Caught Them!

finally i caught the 2 naughty loaches in my tank!! after around 45mins of trying and remaoving all the rocks etc ive caught them!! (see post in tropical chit chat - Damn Loaches)
ive put them in a clear bag floating in the tank and i'll take them to my lfs tommorow, they were very stressed after catching them, they lost there colour and were breathing rapidly, iv turned the light off in the tank is there anything else can do to help reduce their stress?
also all the other fish in the tank were very stressed out throughout the whole process anything i can do to help them?

Did you pump the bags up with air, done the right things just let them settle down, they will settle now you have turned the lights out.

Bicycle pump, or foot pump i use.

oh ok, so do i just pump air into the bag and then tie it up? will they be ok all night? cheers xx

Yes that right, they do need some air in the bag to breath, not ideal really in bags over night. but if you turn tanks light out they will settle down more.

hi, they survived the night and theyre off to my lfs, who is really good, so he'll look after them well.
