I came home to find my African Featherfin catfish laying on the carpet beside my tank. He somehow managed to jump out of the hole on the lid of the tank where the filter is held. Now I thought I was going to be throwing him in the trash can until I picked him up with some paper towels and found him to still be very much alive. I placed him back into the tank where he swam back to his hiding log. He's swimming fine and doesn't seem to be phased by the incident, however, he has white fuzz all over his body and fins. I'm sure his slime coat was affected because he was laying there for a good amount of time. I'm not sure what I can do for him if he is bothered by this "white fuzz".

Oh and the white fuzz wasn't on him this morning so I'm ruling out any infection or disease.

It's most likely just dust, leave the fish be and it will eventually be picked up by the filter.
