Some type of pictus cat. Most pictus don't have markings on them, from what I have seen in my lfs. They also seem to have HUGE and LONG barbels. That is what I based my ID on, the barbels.
the most commonpictus are usually bright metallic silver with black dots and white underbelly on but there is quite a few variations of them like yours
oh yeah they have very sharp petoral and dorsal fins never catch them in a net either they get well and trully stuck ive made that mistake
i didn't realise they where a totaly different genus davo86 i will try and remember that , i was just saying that the most common pictus is the one i described i knew it wasn't one though as i have one not the blotchii they are great fish sooo active
yup thats a 4-lined pim or pimelodus blochii.
i use to have one for about 1 1/2 yr. got it at about 3" and grew pretty fast. i had it till it was about 8-9"
really cool fish it would gorge itself on toad tadpoles and small earth worms. i had it with a 6" sun cat, 12" oscar, & a silver dollar.
