Hello. My mountain bike is my main form of transportation (cant blaim me for the global warming ;)) Its got the shocks and everything. If i pack the fish all nice and tight in a pack so as to minimise jiggling, do u think they would be ok? i could take it easy and its only 8 blocks or so (if that)? Just curious cuz id rather ride than walk. Anyone do this? any suggestions? TIA

Hi,
Walking would probably cause more movement than riding on your bike providing you dont swerve or brake hard or go into potholes.when you walk you are making an up and down motion but you will be level on a bike.
hope this helps

Walking would be a constant jolt with each step, riding would be smoothly rolling along, seems ok to me, so long as you don't ride too fast, or go over lots of bumps/gutters.

Edited because I saw how badly I typed AFTER I posted. :D

ya when i walk i carry the bag in my hand by the handle and my arm acts like a shock absorber. =] thanks for the quick reply!

Im gonna go get me some fish ;) bbiab

lol Half my fish are from riding on bike to get them home, with no backpack. Their alive and have good health.

haha nice u just dangle em in ya hand off the handle bars? ;)

glad to hear they are all good makes me feel more confident mine will make it home with all there nerves intact. =]

They should be fine.
If you can imagine how bumpy the ride is for most fish on their way to the petstore, a ride in your backpack will probably seem like a soak in the tub :)

Taking off in a plane, or being shipped in a container would be alot harsher. Damm sea sickness.......

Ive bought home fish before on my bike. Lol, they loved it! (Im not too sure about that  , but they surrvived it! :flex: )

truthfully, it takes alot for a fish to get messed over from shakyness. Imagine a real life current! Many fish are made for it, and should have no problem with a few waves here and there.

DISCLAIMER:THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN GO AND RIDE OVER EVERY POTHOLE OUT THERE!

Thats OK, if I find a petshop where they'll let me buy fish (as an unaccompanied 13 year old) then it seems fine to take them on my bike... I take my bike most places, luckilly for me I can easily ride to 2 pet shops that do fish, and I'm currently working out a route to the third, best one.
