Carribean Boxer Shrimp

Seen a few of these in my LFS and just fort ide ask for ur opinions on them before i take the plunge and buy 1.

Ive read on the internet they are peacefull in a community reef aquarium and or not aggresive to other shrimp but may be aggresive to there own species if 2 are kept in the same tank?? I wont be keeping 2 though ill just have the 1.

Yes they are aggressive to each other if unpaired. On a side note I would advise target feeding with this species, as they seem to do best when given extra food. Just pass a piece of crustacean flesh to the coral banded shrimp.

thanks for the reply.......so ime guessing on the whole they are fine in reef community tanks if kept 1 per tank

what exaclty is crustacean flesh?? is it a type of food

Shrimp, crab... Like the kind you can buy from the supermarket
