Carpeting

It is possible to use christmas moss as a carpet? (like building a moss wall put placing on the substrate)
Also how does it grow and multiply?

I thought about having christmas moss as a moss wall then having it carpet part of the bottom as well. I wasn't sure if it would look funny like this. Or if it would look ever more weird with different moss types.
