How high does US fissidens (fotanus fissidens) grow if laid as a carpet? I have been researching for the last half an hour but can't seem to find it out . I am looking for a carpetting plant that will spread itself and grow to 1" or 1.5" max with little maintenance. Would Hemianthus callitrichoides be a good plant for my needs?

HC is a high maintenance plant - infact all carpeting plants are because they start to grow above each other and the leaves below start to rot. Fissidens is hard to grow unless you have a high tech tank.

Marsilea would be your best option or java moss.

Thanks for the input I have changed my mind now I am just going to go floating plants + moss wall and leave the floor as nacharis forest
