I really like this plant, & have tried to persevere with it for that last 12 months or so.

I have 4 WPG lighting, CO2, red soil substrate, ferts & the rest of my plants prosper & thrive.

This plant, after careful pruning & replanting, just goes leggy, really pale green & pathetic after a time.

Given up on it really, but I would like to know how people can get that thick, dark green luxurious growth ?

Any other plants that have that look but aren't quite so hard to maintain ?

cabomba is easy to grow, the only thing it needs is good light which if it doesnt have enough it usually goes leggy as do all plants. But you have enough. How do you prune your plants? sometimes pinching them can damage the plants and it will rot.

sometimes you can grow it in one tank but not others. It sounds like it just doesn't like the tank. There are other species of Cabomba and they might do better in your tank. Alternatively try Ambulia, it looks similar but tolerates a wider range of conditions.
