I have taken this plant out of my aquarium as it was previously submerged completely and I have learnt that its actually bog plant and at a minimum the top few leaves need to have access to air. Its in a small plant pot which is 9x9 and has a hole in the base however I have partially sealed it with piece of slate, I don't believe the roots are submerged in the water completely. I have read that it is ensitive to chlorine so tap water is not advised so I have been using my old tank water to water it is this ok? Anything else I can do for this plant? I currently have 2 been keeping them in different conditions as a mini experiment (been a week or 2 so far can't remember exact date I took out of the tank) and the one which I have watered everyday is looking rather unhealthy atm so decided to not do that anymore. I only want one of them to grow upto 8-9 inches its currently at 5" above the soil then i may place it back in the tank depends on how I feel once it reaches that size.

feeding it/ watering it with tank water will provide all the nutrients it needs, just place it in a sunny window.
