should i switch from gravel to CaribSea FloraMax substrate instead of gravel? or should i use regular liquid fertilizer? if i use the CaribSea substrate, will it sink? or will it float?

alright, what type of algea would an overdose grow?

Nothing,most algae is from CO2 fluctuations, low tech this means doing water changes with lights on or having too much surface movement or high tech, CO2 fluctuations due to diffuser being dirty or dodgy regs, leaks etc. Others are bacteria caused by low maintenance or low nitrates etc.
