Caribsea Eco-complete

My maths is not great so I'm struggling to work out how many 9KG bags of Caribsea Eco-Complete I will need to cover the bottom of a Juwel Trigon 190 corner tank. I believe the surface area is around 93". Can anybody with a better grasp of maths help and also does anybody have any feedback on Caribsea Eco-Complete? Thanks

I put 4 bags into my Rio 180 (area is about 612 sq ins), though it doesn't give 3" depth all over. I think you'll find the surface area of your Trigon is approx 520 sq ins.........

"width" of tank (across the bow) 38"
"Depth" 27.5"

Area= (38/2)*27.5 = 522sq in APPROX. Near enough for what you need.

I notice your in Kiddy. Could you tell me where you got your 4 bags from? Was it off the net or from a Midlands based company? (I'm in Brum)

They were the cheapest that I could find at the time. Delivery was next day (order early in day). They also do a good deal on postage for multiple purchases.

4 bags should be enough for you, but an extra 1 won't hurt - what the hell, it's only another £18
