Well technically you could have almost 60 in that talk (5 inches of tetra per gallon). I was reading Aquarium Fish Magazine and that's what was written last year. Although the writer said not to do it unless you know what you are doing, he does it himself.
Reading the new magazine put out by Hagen (I think it is called nutrafin news) it said you can put 2 and 1/2 inches of tetra fish per gallon with no problems. -that was in the very first issue ever.
I tend to agree with them, as long as you have adequate filtration.

Just go with 7 tetras or so

hmm. is there any fish available where i can put 20 or so in there.

as long as they aren't plant eaters...

i want a single species tank with lots of fish in it.

how many neons could i get in there? theyre smaller aren't they.

i've gone for cardinals as they are immune to NTD but i may take my chances

Like I said, you can have 20 fish in there as long as you know what you are doing. You can have 50 fish in there if you know what you are doing ie. have amazing filter and clean out some water every day. It is just not recommended.

I think 7 will look good but what ever
