Cardinal Tetras Losing Colour & Dieing

I just bought 9 Cardinals, after a few hours 4 have been losing colour from the tail moving along the body and then dying.

Any ideas please?

Is it a new tank? how long has it been set-up? Have you cycled your tank?

No the tank is mature, no problems with any other inmates!!

what are the tankmates??
is the ph, temp etc. at the right spot?

how did you get them
ex: thru mail , lfs , or (*dreads*) petsmart/petco

Am I getting this right that you've only had them a few hours than they've died? TBH I'd get them right out the tank and back to where they came from in case they infected any of my fish with anything!!

It might just be the stress of moving to a new home, or it could be more serious...........personally I wouldn't take the chance of letting them in stay in my tank a moment longer.

P.S Where DID you get them?

No the deaths have happened over 3 days. They came from my LFS who i have no porblems with. All other fish are fine including the 2 rams i got at the same time.

Are they still dying? Could of potentially been a bad batch if your other fish are healthy!

Seems to have stopped!! I have 5 left out of 9!!
