Hello all,

I have a cardinal tetra with a blister on the side was wondering how to treat it and if anyone knows what it is?

It is by the belly of the fish.

Regards

Gary.

Can you post water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Can you describe the blister in more detail.
Is it a pink or red colour with a circling of dead white skin around the edges.
Or is it an open sore.

I had a neon with a kind of raised white mark on the side, lost its colour in the mark and it was like a white / brown colour ?
If it is I treated with Protozin from waterlife (The blue one) and it worked ok.

But as wilder said, some water stats would be good.

My water stats are as follows.

PH 7.0
NitrIte 0ppm
Ammonia 0PPm
NitrAte 10-20ppm

My water quality is really good nice and clear. It is just a white blister. Might be because it has knocked its self or not managed to get rid of the eggs. It has been like it for a while. No other fish in my tank are showing any kind of problems.

Gary.

OK - not sure then, Wilder is much more qualified than me on illnesses and medications, will leave it to the expert :good:

Lol spooky not that great.
I would try a bacterial med then like anti internal bacteria by interpet.
Can you issolate the fish for treatment.

unfortunatley i cant seperate the fish. but i will get some treatment for the poorly fish.

Ok.
Don't forget to take black carbon out of the filter if you use it.
Increase aeration as the meds reduces 02 in the water.
Good luck.
