I recently bought 6 Cardinal Tetras, about 4 days ago. They were fine since i got them. Then 2 days ago one of the cardinal tetras starting swimming differently. There is no agression in my tank, and i trust all my fish except the guppy. I see it sometimes going after the cardinals and chasing them for about 5-10 second. So maybe the guppy could be a reason behind this incident, but i doubt it.
K ill describe the problem:
The cardinal tetra is swimming sideways (1 eye looking up, while other eye is looking down) It sometimes flips upside down. It looks as if its in a lot of pain, and i really want to help. I'm pretty sure it hasnt got food since the last 2 days. I have tried to put the food where it is so none of the other fish can get it, however it still is not going for it. I have been feeding flakes as that was they were fed from where i got them from. Once in a while i see the guppy "almost" hitting it. But before the guppy gets near it the cardinal runs away. It can run away from a fish but cant really swim propely. It goes back to its regular position and then withing seconds goes back to the sideways swimming form. It seems to me as if it cant balance itself.
Is there anyway i can help?
Should i put it in 3-4 gallon bucket that i have?
I really dont want to spend on medication, as its never helped me before and i waste lots of money. However, if it will definately help i am willing to purchase it.

Any help would be really helpful.
-thx

I would put him down sorry, they could of damaged the swim bladder when getting him out of the tank.

Is there no other way to help it?
I hate to kill fish .... should i put it in a bucket until it dies, so it wont increase the ammonia?
:-(

If he's in alot of pain i wouldn't let him suffer sorry not nice, do you have any clove oil.

I went over Fish Dude's house
and ....
Well, he passed away

I think i know the problem though .... THE GUPPY!!!
While i was over i saw the guppy being agrresive to another cardinal tetra. It went up to the tetra and basically hit or nipped its stomach-area.
What should he do?
Should he remove the guppy for about 2-3 hours then put it back. It really isnt terrortorial though. When it gets close to a cardinal tetra it chases it.

Sorry R.I.P. Yes remove him for now, but it's not solving the problem, he could of damaged the swim bladder of the tetra that died.
