Cardinal Gone A Bit Strange

i doubt this should be in emergency as he seems to be fine, if only a little thinner than his friends but one of my cardinals has a permanently open mouth.

is this a sympton of something sinister(ntd) or just one of those things?

If he's gone thin he's not eating due to the open mouth, open mouth can mean they have something stuck in there mouths.

I had a fish that had popeye, and his mouth was open all the time BEFORE I saw any symptoms of popeye, such as eyes protruding....

Just a thought here...
