why is it again why carbon is a bit detrimental to the planted tank ?? filters out ferts ??? kinda forgot, i think im gonna remove my carbon now since the water is a bit clearer already

Carbon removes useful trace elements for plants. A well planted tank with good growth will perform a better job at removing harmful substances than carbon. It has it's uses i.e. removing medications.
