Will carbon hurt live plants? Also I need a good filter for a 30 gallon tank. One that will keep the water crystal clear. Any suggestions?

ive heard that plants do better without the carbon but not 100% on that one as far as good filter for a 30 gallon tank i would go with Penguin 200 bio wheel

Penguin Bio-wheels are very good filters. I have them currently running on all my tanks, with various sizes and i love them!!!!



I have never heard of carbon hurting plants. I have a few live plants and have carbon in the filter and don't have any problems.
