Hey, I just finished the treatment for white spot and it is all gone! One 1 black neon castalty...

I had to take out my carbon filter so I put it in a clean, sealed plastic bag.

Now the treatment is over I was wondering if I should put it back in...

What do you guys think??? :good:

I recommend continue treating for whitespot, even though visually it appears to be gone, for about a week more to make you have killed all spores that are in all phases of their lifecycle. Then, once the week is up, give the carbon insert a good rinsing before you put it back in or just throw it out and buy a new one. All the beneficial bacteria that would be on the insert is most surely dead. They can die within an hour of two of being out of the flow of water containing fish waste as they need a continual supply of food. Now worries though as a new insert is very cheap and it will help remove any excess medicine in the water so it doesn't overpollute the water and cause damage to the fish :good:

Thank you! Yeah The White spot is long gone, it has been for about 3 weeks.
I will just rinse the carbon and all will be good!

Thanks again!
