Hello all :D firstly sorry about the title i just cant think of a good one yet...

Anyway this is going to be my journal for my 6ft tank that I'm converting my shed for !!!

So i started with converting my shed to keep it warm and putting electric in it! next i cleared out my 6ft tank witch has just been laying in my back garden for good few months!!

Brought some black heads fitted and siliconed today!

Plans :

4 x drain holes at the back 32mm size
2x return holes at the side of the tank 32mm size
1x 7000l return pump
3x sumps two will be trickle filter the other will be just a 4ft tank in the middle ( the trickle filters will come later on)
Going do my own diy live rock! and probley add a deep sand bed

Going to use tap water and treat it with api stuff! add salt etc etc add some cheato and other pants to take away all the nitrates and other crap!

Going Be Good :D Best bit about it i don't have to worry about noise this tank makes as its in my shed!!!!!!

BTW Its 600L/158.5us gallons

Hope this works as i done my research on hear ski says

garf.org has a couple tutorials how to do it. The quick rundown:

1 part cement
4-5 parts aragonite sand and/or crushed coral and/or crushed shells

add just enough water to make it the consistency of oatmeal
let stand for 24-48hours
cure it for 3-5 weeks in a toilet cistern or a bucket of freshwater to remove all the high alkalinity (fresh cement will leech enough alk into the water to raise your pH up over 11).

As long as your bulkheads are large enough I don't see why it would not work...

Just did a water test and all ok with no leaks! cant fit the 7000l pump till weekend as glue is drying on it!

Could not wait till the weekend to try my 7000l pump! works fine :D fitting it all probley now ! that live rock was just dead live rock i had lieing about so i stuck it in just for fun :D

Are you sure thats enough flow through the sump?
Your flying through it
HAHA!!! i wanted a biger sump but that one will doo!! going add bulk heads near the bottom so it wont make too much splashing noise!!!

Hows yours comeing along?
